1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding Timely to your Discord server or interacting with it, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server and discontinue use.

2. Description of Service

Timely is a Discord bot that facilitates appointment scheduling between server members. It allows users to create appointment requests, invite participants, collect availability via voting, and confirm meeting times. Additional features include role-based status management, timezone-aware time display, and calendar export.

Timely also includes an optional web-based admin dashboard for server administrators. The dashboard provides a browser interface for managing panels, appointment types, events, and announcements, as well as a read-only REST API for third-party integrations. Access to the dashboard is controlled by the server administrator. Use of the dashboard is subject to these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service to use Timely. The bot is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Timely to:

5. Data Storage

Timely stores data necessary for its scheduling functionality (see the Privacy Policy for full details). This includes Discord User IDs, appointment details, and — if voluntarily provided — a personal timezone preference (IANA timezone name). The timezone preference is personal data as defined under the GDPR and can be deleted at any time using /timely timezone set:clear.

When the admin dashboard is used, additional data is stored: Discord user identifiers and usernames of administrators and access requesters, access attempt records, and API key hashes for third-party integrations. This data is accessible only to server administrators and is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

When logging into the dashboard, Discord OAuth2 is used with the identify and guilds scopes. The guilds scope retrieves your server memberships and permission levels to determine your access level (Timely Admin or Guild Admin). This data is processed transiently at login and stored only in a signed session cookie — it is not written to the database.

Server administrators are responsible for ensuring that the use of Timely on their server complies with applicable data protection laws. This includes appropriate access control for the admin dashboard and any API keys issued through it.

6. Availability

Timely is provided as-is. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or continuity of service. The bot may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Timely shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the bot.

8. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated at any time. Continued use of the bot after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
